The Navy had two designations for the Beech 18: if it was a trainer, like the one pictured, it was an SNB, if it was used as a utility/transport it was designated the JRB. Nice plane, btw. We've got one here--but it's a non-flyer. All our aircraft are permanently grounded and classified as artifacts.

The 4P on the tail indicated that it flew out of Pensacola, and was for training aerial photographers.

Great shots WII! That Beech 18 is the same type of plane that did an aerobatic show at the air show here. It seems impossible, but it happened.
