Excellent. I'm really looking forward to the B-17s. I have a C-47 repaint in the works as well. I sent in one for the Cessna 172 already. Eventually I want to get my P-80/T-33 repaint redone.

Right now I'm working on a repaint of the Bell Long Ranger for Ecardmodels.com

It's testing my Photoshop skills for sure

Bring on the AC-47 and F6F!

It'll be interesting to see if the AC47 makes it past Chip and his phobia of all things Vietnam War related.

Requests eh? Hmm....I'll have to think on that one.

What I would really like to see is a complete update and re-draw of the Zero. But failing that, I'd like to see more of anything related to WWII in the Pacific, so the Rufe sounds great.

well I found a real good 3-vue on a site, and I noticed that the front is bulged out a lot like the nose of the Hughes H-1 racer.... So I am thinking shorten the P-40 nose.. add the front from the racer and the gunfairings and same for the exhausts under the nose. the rest is pretty much the same. so From that I hope to get a pretty close P-36.

I am thinking on the AC-47 that I can leave off the guns and such as a seperate addon sheet and if Chip does not want it I can offer it to those that want it and maybe the plane itself will make it thru as a camo version. Hard to say though...

talked to chip about the ac-47, and he seems open to it. Also, a few things to do on the '109 and it'll be done!

You guys are on a roll. Once I finish my helo repaint I'll try to get back going on some of my planned repaints. We could have 5 or six different C-47 version very soon. Hopefully I can get to the B-17. I have a version to send in as well.

Well Guys;
Not sure. Chip told me that most of those are too old to submit, which confuses me.... So I do not know what to do with the corsairs, the group of C-47's including the AC-47, And the new HUP-2 that I just did I asked about John Dell's B-24's and Chip said that is even too old. He said mainly stuff that is less than a couple of years old. I guess we could use a list of what is good to repaint and what is not. But I am still going to do them if even for my self and my sons, they have a fruit box each full of completed FG models.

A lot of the old models were designed when Chip had to pay by the sheet for printing, so they are small and packed on the page. Plus, the lines are too thick and hand drawn, and there isn't enough detail.

So, a few years ago, we decided to change the FG format, and design models as big as we can, and put in as much detail as possible. The sheet layout was changed a lot.

I would suggest before you put the effort into a repaint, ask Chip if he would like the model redrawn. You'll get a lot better response, and he might even offer to pay you for it.

Hawkman,
Like the AC-47 idea. If ya throw in a tail for an EC-47 with it's unit markings that would be great - the antennas can be scratch built and added. There's lot's of EC-47 info on the net. Do you have any repaints in mind for Canadian paint schemes - Avenger in 1950's colors or any of the helo's/aircraft that were in Canadian service - there's some colorful subjects that they flew. I've seen the HUP-2 in Canadian colors as well as the CH-46 SeaKnight/CH-113 Labrador(which we don't have drawn up on FG-yet) :D How about a rescue boat that goes up under belly of the SB-17 Rescue Fortress, or a PB-1W - (USN B-17 ASW version) with the HUGE radome under the belly. Thanks
